Artwork Submission Guide

For Custom Apparel, Burgees, Flags, and Promotional Items

To begin your order, send your artwork files to info@yachtclubmerch.com.
Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, TIFF. High-resolution files give the best results.

Below is what we need to keep production smooth and accurate.

Artwork Requirements
Please provide:

  • A clean, high-resolution PNG, JPG, or TIFF
  • Minimum 300 DPI whenever possible
  • Transparent PNGs preferred for apparel imprinting
  • A logo with crisp edges and no background blur

If you have vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG), include those as well, even though they are not required.

Choose Your Imprint Type

Different imprint styles work best on different products. Please tell us your preferred method:

  • Embroidery
  • Appliqué (burgees only)
  • Screen print
  • DTF direct to film

If you are unsure which imprint type fits your project, we will advise based on fabric, size, and logo detail.

Logo Placement

For garments and soft goods, describe exactly where the logo should appear. Common placements:

  • Left chest
  • Right chest
  • Full front
  • Full back
  • Sleeve or arm
  • Back yoke
  • Side hip
  • Hat front, side, or back
  • Multiple locations on the same piece

If your order includes several locations, list each placement separately so we can prepare accurate proofs.

Color Match Information

Tell us your official brand colors:

  • Pantone numbers (preferred)
  • HEX codes if Pantone is not available

If you do not have color codes, send a clear reference image and we will match as closely as possible.

Size of Imprint

Include the imprint size in inches.

Examples:

  • Left chest: 3.5 inches wide
  • Hat front: 2.25 inches high
  • Full back: 11 inches wide
  • Burgee appliqué: sized to proportion unless specified

If you want us to choose the best proportion for the product, mention that in your message.

Garment or Product Description

Tell us what item the artwork goes on. Helpful details:

  • Brand and style number
  • Color of the garment
  • Quantity of each size
  • Whether the item is for men, women, or unisex
  • If you plan to mix imprint types across items (for example, embroidery on polos and DTF on hoodies)

Special Instructions

Include anything unique, such as:

  • Outline thickness preferences
  • Drop shadow or no shadow
  • Single color or multicolor imprint
  • Vintage or distressed look
  • Flat embroidery or 3D puff embroidery (hats)
  • Single or double appliqué on burgees
  • Whether the logo needs to be simplified for stitching

Proofing
You will receive a digital proof before production begins.

We will ask you to confirm:

  • Artwork accuracy
  • Logo placement
  • Logo size
  • Colors
  • Spelling and numbers
  • Any special notes from your submission

Production starts only after you approve the proof.
